For those of you "marking your map," here's a chance to get to one of those trails that we typically don't hike. From Abrams Creek Ranger Station, we'll take the Cooper Road Trail until we reach the Cane Creek Trail. We’ll take this out to the park boundary and back (there’s no other purpose for this trail!).  Then we'll return back on Cooper Road.  Hike is 10.2 miles, rated Moderate.  You may want to dress for briers and other possible overgrowth on the Cane Creek Trail.

To carpool meet 7:30 a.m. at Alcoa Kroger - 244 S Hall Rd, on the right coming from Knoxville, just past Burger King. When you're facing Kroger, park on the far left side beyond the KARM Store. The side street is Gill Street. 30 miles R/T. $2.00, hike leader will be at Kroger.

Or at Abrams Creek Ranger Station at 8:00.
